Hey guys and gals

Had a Few problems with my outboard in the last little while. Running rough, excessive smoke/steam, low on power, bit of a miss etc. have done a bit of poking around on the net and have come to the conclusion, that it's the coils. Compression test came back fine with all 6 cylinders being between 120 and 123 psi. Checked the spark and 3 coils are bright blue sparks, 2 are quite weak and 1 doesn't even have anything. Leads are all fine, as I have swapped them about and got spark.

Now the question I have is, where in this fine country would I find some. Need 6, as I may as well replace them all at the same time. Part number is 339-7370A13. I would prefer not having to get from overseas.

Also I may as well get an impeller as well. Haven't changed that for a couple of years.

Any help would be great

Thanks
Blair

Cheers for that Peter.

Managed to get 6 coils from outboard marine technologies in manukau. $350 inc gst for all 6. Fitted them and, it ain't working haha. I have had the last couple of days off and have been trolling the net. I have found that they have problems with the switch boxes. Did a quick test last night and it looks like there is a no power getting to one of them. Will trace the wires back to he magneto and see if there is power there. This is turning into a bit of a major......
