This is the first time I've posted pics on here.
I've got more pics to post but when I try to load off ipad it says to change file name as it's the same as this pic etc.
Any help be appreciated.
I'm not a PC person.

You are one lucky man.

Did you watch the vid of the 4m BDC crossing over to great barrier for a spot of surfing?

They are the ducks nuts if one can afford it.

Lucky and broke!
I've researched the heck out of it before I traded my beloved 4.85 surtees on this.
Yes seen the great barrier mission looked like a blast.

Time will tell whether its better than the surtees, but id have made the same choice. SO much space in the cockpit.

What donk is going on the back?

I dont think they are badly priced when you consider what you get for your money. A true baby battleship.

Also the aesthetics are gnarly. Is that a bait dank with the boat logo silhouette as a window?

Hi fiz yammy 115b four stroke is the donk and yes logo is the window for tank.
I had my little surtees for 3 years great rig.
I've been venturing a fair way out sometimes 30 miles out to sea and the blackdog is certainly a big small boat etc.
Plus I do a lot of beach launching and this thing can be brought right into shallow water.

I had considered the shallow water draft side of it, epic. i presume you have eletrics then.

the 5.5 on the frontpage of the tradeaboat mag and the BDC site looks mean.

Love the idea of a boat with scuppers above waterline. Not that ducks feet tend to leak water in the boat on most inflatables, but I think they will tend to clear quicker.

I was at mautauri bay camp ground with my surtees I read that trade a boat article and that's what really got me interested.
I was towing boat back to Nelson so I thought I would stop at dealership on the way home.
I ended up taking a demo boat out for a spin and the surtees was traded their and then.

You will love the 5MBDC Pete.
Got one myself.
Replaced the single jockey wheel for a twin jockey wheel.
Have you seen the YouTube videos by North Marine?
Must be the deadliest beach retrieve I have seen so far.
I have a Merc Opti 115 which gives me about 25kts WOT with 4 X PoB.
ProTech 3 Blade SS 13.5 Dia X 17 degree pitch Prop.
Prop test before buying a prop if you can in Nelson.
Maybe get a few more knots with a larger prop in my case.
Most common comments from mates are,how soft the ride is in the chop, and stability at rest for boat size.
Shallow water draft very good.
400kgs+ fishermen hanging over a gunnel with very little list.
You fitting the boat out yourself?
I did.
Great fun.

Peace.Via superior firepower..

Hi 3rn.
Yes seen all the videos.
Ive counting down the days to get up their and get it.
Marine north are doing the fit out.
I'm going up to mautauri bay after picking up for a winter snapper fish etc Graham is hopefully coming up their also for a few hours of fishing and a general shakedown of boat.
It's such a radical design compared to anything else on the market.
This rig will see me out for 7 years + I hope.

i wish they did a 4m cuddy cab or with simple spray dodger. i think would make the ultimate small trailer boat.

pete im so jealous, small boats with seaworthiness make so much sense.

do these drift like a regular cat in the turns? also the one cat i owned in OZ had a tendency to have an unnerving roll down a wave when quartering.

25knots wot seems pretty slow?! Is that the drawback with these cats?

Has your trailer got the wheels that the tunnel rides up/down on?
Luke did not offer that option last year.
Looks like a handy feature though.
Have my batteries in the bow.
Tote tank (45lts) in transom sits beautifully between the scuppers.
Will need a custom dive ladder fab`d for this summer.
No bait station on mine.
North Marine should get your yammie propped out spot on.
You getting the T Top and clears?
Glad I did.

Ohsoslow.
Not sure what other BDCs are getting.
Been told I need a slightly larger dia prop and maybe lift motor up another hole.
I`m a nanna driver anyways, will play with settings soon.
Maybe the Opti 125HP would have been better.
Will try that option on next motor upgrade.
Great economy though.
Could just be a feature of cats as you say though.
