I Iiked the idea of the tenya jighead but the point of the hook got stuffed after a couple of small pannies. Also the stinger hook got munted in the same amount of time.

Caught a few good snapper on them, I like the size of the body on the curly tails, they are a bigger bait than other 5" size softbaits. You do have to be careful how you store them, I now put them back in the original packet between trips otherwise they melt like no other softbait. the curly tail also has a tendency to get hooked up on the point of hook particularly after they have had a bit of use.

But overall they seem to have a great action in the water and the snapper love them.

He's done pretty well on the natural coloured curly tails, particularly for trevs in the Port Waikato river mouth, but also for snapper out by Waiheke.

I've got a couple of different curly tail colours to try up north later this month.

I like the way they are buoyant, like the Z Mans. The 'Engine oil' colour lights up nicely under UV torch. I reckon they'll go well.

Another forum regular has noted that the angled jigheads mean Gulp softies stand up when dragging. That's a bonus.
