I have a Svord long and stiff steel blade.  keeps edge really well.  Not stainless, so you have to clean and oil after use, but then it keeps the edge really well

Still, it's a good topic though Coutta. I use a variety of knives myself. I've always used a good quality boning knife. My current on is a carbon steel blade Green River brand. What kind of fillet knife do you guys use and why?
I have were pretty cheap generic ones(bargain bin type of stuff) and really seem to struggle even after being sharpened.
