Seriously mono is different to copolymer. Perhaps the&nbsp; ruling should look to exclude braids rather than nylon lines&nbsp;]]>

The     working leader (including tapered leaders) must conform to rule six b (6b)</li></ol><div style="text-align:justify">&nbsp;</div><div style="margin-left:.5in;text-align:justify">6a.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <u>Running line</u> (mainline) to be aminimum of:</div><div style="margin-left:1.0in;text-align:justify;text-indent:  .5in">0.35mm - for 175gr and&nbsp; 200gr weights</div><div style="margin-left:.5in;text-align:justify;text-indent:-.25in">&nbsp;</div><div style="margin-left:1.0in;text-align:justify;text-indent:  .5in">0.31mm - for 150gr weights</div><div style="margin-left:.5in;text-align:justify;text-indent:-.25in">&nbsp;</div><div style="margin-left:1.0in;text-align:justify;text-indent:  .5in">0.28mm - for 125gr weights</div><div style="margin-left:.5in;text-align:justify;text-indent:-.25in">&nbsp;</div><div style="margin-left:1.0in;text-align:justify;text-indent:  .5in">0.25mm -&nbsp; for 50gr, 75gr and 100gr  weights</div><div style="margin-left:.5in;text-align:justify;text-indent:-.25in;  tab-stops:117.0pt">&nbsp;</div><div style="margin-left:.5in;text-indent:-.25in;tab-stops:117.0pt">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 6b.<u>Casting&nbsp; Leader</u>&nbsp; (Shock Leader):</div><div style="margin-left:.5in;text-indent:-.25in;tab-stops:117.0pt">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; To be high visibility/fluorescentwith at least eight (8) turns </div><div style="margin-left:.5in;text-indent:-.25in;tab-stops:117.0pt">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; on the spool of the reelwhen ready to cast and minimum of</div><div style="margin-left:.5in;text-indent:-.25in;tab-stops:117.0pt">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 0.65mm for - 50gr,75gr, 100gr &amp; 125gr weights, or</div><div style="margin-left:.5in;text-indent:-.25in;tab-stops:117.0pt">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 0.75mm for - 150gr, 175gr&amp; 200gr weights&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </div><div style="margin-left:0in;text-align:justify">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; at the pointwhere the line is held by the caster at the reel.</div><div style="margin-left:0in;text-align:justify">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; (Whether this be thecasters finger or some mechanical aid)</div><div style="text-align:justify;tab-stops:117.0pt">&nbsp;&nbsp; </div><ol style="margin-top:0in" start="7" ="1"><li><strong>Casting Weights</strong>: Only NZACA     approved casting weights (as per 6a &amp; 6b) to be used and will be     provided by an NZACA approved supplier. NZ Competitions leader can be tied     directly to the casting weight or attached via an approved clip. No     excessive polishing of weights supplied at the tournament will be allowed.     Only lead weights that are colour coded and marked with the casters     initials and/or number will be permitted. A cast will be declared void     unless these conditions are adhered to.</li></ol><div style="text-align:justify;tab-stops:117.0pt">&nbsp;</div><ol style="margin-top:0in" start="8" ="1"><li><strong>Casting Court</strong>: A     30-degree ‘V’ shaped court extended as necessary. The metric radial system     of court measuring from the centre of the base will be used in the case of     records. Any court change will be at the discretion of the committee.<em></em></li></ol><div style="text-align:justify;tab-stops:117.0pt">&nbsp;</div><ol style="margin-top:0in" start="9" ="1"><li><strong>Casting</strong>: </li></ol><div style="margin-left:.5in;text-align:justify;tab-stops:117.0pt">9.1&nbsp; Casting shall be from behind a 2.5mt boardset at 90 degrees to </div><div style="margin-left:.5in;text-align:justify;tab-stops:117.0pt">thecentre of the court. No competitor may pass this board whilst in the action ofcasting or until the lead weight has landed. The line must remain unbrokenafter the cast has been made until the weight has come to rest.</div><div style="margin-left:.5in;text-align:justify;tab-stops:117.0pt">&nbsp;</div><div>9.2&nbsp;&nbsp; All casts shall be made without assistance.However the uses of devices such as the Robinson Autocasting Aid is acceptable</div><div style="margin-left:.5in;text-align:justify;tab-stops:117.0pt">&nbsp;</div><div style="margin-left:.5in;text-align:justify;tab-stops:117.0pt">9.3&nbsp; Replacement of tackle may be made providingthis can be done within the given time limit.</div><div style="margin-left:.5in;text-align:justify;tab-stops:117.0pt">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Five (5) minutes repair time will beallowed for each.</div><div style="margin-left:.5in;text-align:justify;tab-stops:117.0pt">&nbsp;</div><div>9.4&nbsp;&nbsp; In making a cast it shall not be permittedto use a power stroke of more than 360 degrees or any cast that in the opinionof the committee is deemed dangerous.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>9.5&nbsp; Casts shall be recorded on a chart at the endof the casting lane&nbsp;&nbsp; (where line andleads will be checked before casting) Break offs will be marked down and mustbe retrieved and reported back to a judge.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>9.6&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The Judge or Committee may use his/herdiscretion to allow a competitor extra time or casts if justified by outsideinterference or other mishaps beyond the casters control</div><div style="margin-left:.5in;text-align:justify;text-indent:-.25in;  tab-stops:117.0pt">&nbsp;</div><ol style="margin-top:0in" start="10" ="1"><li>&nbsp;<strong>Judging</strong>:     Casting court judges shall first check diameter of running line and leader     and that there are sufficient turns of leader on the spool (refer 6b). At     the completion of the cast the running line shall again be measured. After     first round of casting random checks will be made. </li></ol><div style="margin-left:.5in;text-align:justify;tab-stops:117.0pt">&nbsp;</div><div style="margin-left:.5in;text-align:justify;tab-stops:117.0pt">10a.In the event of a dispute the decision of the Judge or Committee shall befinal.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </div><div style="margin-left:.5in;text-align:right;  tab-stops:117.0pt" align="right">&nbsp;</div><ol style="margin-top:0in" start="11" ="1"><li>&nbsp;<strong>NZ     Records</strong>: NZ Records can only be set at the three Regional sanctioned     NZACA events and the NZACA Nationals. These events will all use electronic     approved measuring equipment with the presence of at least two (2)     officers or committee members who are not personally involved in the cast.</li></ol><div style="margin-left:.5in;text-align:justify;tab-stops:117.0pt">&nbsp;</div><div style="margin-left:.5in;text-align:justify">11a. Cluband Postal records willbe different than NZ Records. Clubs need to use NZACA approved weights and lineas set out in Rule 6a. Clubs will need to have access to a micrometer</div><div style="text-align:justify;tab-stops:117.0pt">&nbsp;</div><ol style="margin-top:0in" start="12" ="1"><li><strong>&nbsp;Membership</strong>: To be a current     financial member of the NZACA</li></ol><div style="text-align:justify;tab-stops:117.0pt">&nbsp;</div><ol style="margin-top:0in" start="13" ="1"><li><strong>&nbsp;Entries</strong>: To be received by the     specified date. The committee reserves the right to refuse entry</li></ol><div style="text-align:justify;tab-stops:117.0pt">&nbsp;</div><ol style="margin-top:0in" start="14" ="1"><li><strong>&nbsp;Rules</strong>: The above rules have     been formulated using the UKSF International rules and combining elements     of the NZACA casting rules.
