I don't know about you guys but I have a keen interest in maps. I found this site the other day when looking for a map to destruction gully. Most of you guys know your spots, but it might be useful next time you're headed out of town or something.

Check you monitor size down the bottom after the legal guff. The app takes a while to load, but I've found it to be very good.
Once it loaded to the area I wanted I took a screen cap and saved it using MSPaint, then you can print it and take it with ya.
It has a good search function too, which migh save some zooming and waiting.
Hope you find it useful
Hi Ho Silver,
If you go to the printer icon in the floating toolbar, it will format your current screen view and let you download it as a PDF file. No shagging around in MS Paint required.
Also, go to the following site if you wan't to download all the NZ Marine Charts: http://www.hydro.linz.govt.nz/charts/catalogue/index.asp

lol, what else would you expect from a goverment dept?
I'm surprised there aren't any forms to fill in (in triplicate).....
Thanks for the tip Dogfish, I don't have a printer so I never bothered to press the print buttom. Certainly makes things easier
actually the Marine Charts in Dogfish's are great - I bought a set of these a few months ago - but now by downloading these (use broadband if you got it!) I'll be able to cut out the areas I want and blow them up so my aging eyes can read them(!!) and print out at a manageable size!!
Thanks for the link Dogfish!

You're welcome alimat.
That's what this Forum is for... to share the info (and also modestly brag about our fishing successes occasionally)
