Ski: thus far looks like me,thee & xfactor,
now the Management Commity of THE M.B.BC. !
have very generously (in my humble opinion) offered the use of our clubs facilities to those on this Fish net thing who wish to partake ? Public holidays, & fishing comp week ends excepted.
roll up,launch your tub any time 2 hrs after low tide. pay your $5.00 & pee off safe in the knowedge that the gear you left behind is safe & sound.
Whats with our o'seas members ? shore boys ? no takers ? A.C. & his merry men would be most welcome !
ill see what the weathers doin closer to the time buider i mite launch from the shore or something yet as itll take me longer to tow the boat all the way over there athan actuallyzippin out from the bays some where.have launched from maraeti once b4 and its very handy to waiheke specially if it blows up.
does anyone know what the story with rotoroa island isare you allowed to anchor and go ashore or is it a rehab private property senario.looks like a nice bay to duck in for the nite by the jetty.
Hi Ski,
Rotoroa is run by the Salvation Army for drunks & druggies on rehabilitation. landing is strictly a no no. Or you may feel at home.
Your better bet would be to try Pakatoa. Pakatoa used to discourage visitors but I am unsure of their opinion of the great unwashed boating population. I was asked to remove myself from the premises a few years ago. Can't think why? Pay to give them a call. The bays on Waiheke side are fairly shallow. Don't want to wake up with the boat on a list as well.
I'm not coming iver for a couple of months yet but the gathering sounds interesting
Rowan
XFACT; when you say next week is that during the week ?
could be a go for me as well, working Sat & Sun, so the handbrake has no cause to complain if I skizze off ( but they do !)

I'll be out there, some were ? (bottom end of Waiheke that is)
Bent 1 "sarcasm is the lowest form of Wit " (tee hee, youle be happy to know, clients now happily ensconsed in their abode ).
is there a pic anywhere of you wearing the Dunny seat ? this I gotta see !
(thanks Boulder, glad to see you have fitted a most worthy recipiant )
more serious matters, youz Shore Boys people doing this Waiheke thing? like gone to no end of trouble to provide near perfect launching facilities & security for youz, all I need now is numbers involved ?
well builder weather is sh------t not looking good for the next few days windy-as realy starting to piss me off.but you never no might get a brake sometime so might see ya out there.
cheers trev
XF i'mm with you, not about to freeze what little nuts off I have left ?
what say youz Ski ?
perhaps leave it until new Years, at least we have the clubs o.k. they will look @ accomodating "Drunks ,Liars"& "Unmentionables" (from o'seas ie; Shore boy's ?)
Builder ... will furnish picture of myself with the award .. even though I think my crime was more of a misdemenour.
Iwon't be doing an overnighter - couldn't think of anything worse on my boat as there ain't nowhere to sleep. I'm also keeping all my fishing fishing trip brownie points for the game season.
Good luck tho'
