Can any of the sounder gurus help me out please I have a lowrance HDS5 in my boat currently I also have a new HDS10 sitting in a box at home - does anyone know weather my HDS10 will plug straight in to the existing wiring? Cheers!

Same cables arent they? The only thing Im not sure of is if the HDs10 also has extra transducer features, just google the 2 Transducer types, if the same then I cant see why not.
The only thing lowrance is trying to catch up with Garmin on "Live" transducers, at the moment garmin are way ahead but thats because they started 5 years ago. So livesight on Lowrance is not worth the extra Transducer cost. I think the Garmin one is $1500 for the transducer. Great technology but in its infancy so costs a lot still. New TOY, I bet you cant wait to get that puppy replaced. Should get some good money back on the 5 as well. Am I wrong, but dont you have a White Pointer boat? |
