Anyone use one of these trailer locks?

I'm changing my boat insurance and the new company require an anti-theft device to be fitted even though my boat is stored in a locked garage.  I quite liked that this has an audible alarm, so if anyone breaks into the garage and is fiddling with it I'll hear them, or the dog will.  Also when at the boat ramp this lock can be left on the trailer while using it, whereas if I use a wheel clamp it has to be removed from the trailer before going to get the boat.  Or am I better off just sticking to an SAS wheel clamp and accepting it's going to take a few minutes to get it on or off?

i use one as part of my overal security package. ITs a great device although the sounder died a few months back (not battery related) but I am not concerned about that. I also leave it on in the carpark to prevent some prick stealing the trailers while we are out. Would be better if it was a brighter colour for a more visual deterant

does the bottom cup part fit over a nut for a 1 inch shaft tow ball?

I got this one the other day but it doesn't fit over.

I have the Motorbike type Kovid lock around my coupling and my boat is out by the road. if anyone touches it slightly, it goes off and it is as loud as puk. kids used to grab it and it would give them a heck of a fright. Well worth it as a deterrent

I saw something like that recently for sale .. local miter 10???
look rather interesting..

Kevin I would ring or email the insurance company, send them the specs etc and ask if they approve it is adequate.
Something every happens .. just something they cant then wriggle out with in the future.
