Bluefins have a sky tower challenge, biggest snapper closest to the sky tower.

Formula still being worked on, but a 20lb snap at the chicks is around the same as a 10lb snap at whangaparoa.

I went on a scout today and found this within 30km away from the sky tower

Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes; after that, who cares?! He's a mile away and you've got his shoes!

Wouldnt an 8-10lb'r from off bayswater be pretty hard to beat?

Get plenty of fish that size in that area over the summer - shouldnt be too hard to spear one around there would it?

JK - In order to spear a snapper there  you need to be able to see it!
Worth a go for the keen beans.

My pick would be Rangi - that lagoon area just inside the light - berley up. Wait for a few days of southwest and incoming tide? Would be what 6-7km from sky tower?

Are we talkin as the crow flys or what?
Was checking out some crystal clear water today with a nice looking weedline all in plain sight of the big one. Not to far in a direct line but bit of a drive.
Might head up for a looksy tomorrow.
