So I was just going through Tiny's post about wanting a panel beater, got me thinking how about a sticky thread for professions, helps everyone when they need a particular person for a service they can just look through the pages and find what they're looking for, A F.net yellow pages if you will. Just a thought, what do you guys think?

Sounds like a great idea.

I actually need a panelbeater or an auto locksmith to help me open the passenger door on my car and it's fairly urgent.

We have more than enough Sticky's as it is.

If this is to go ahead (and I think its a good Idea) please please place it as a separate forum down the bottommaybe in "Archived and other forums"

We just do not need more stickys in the Briney Bar

And btw, to all those who PM'd me asking me to check out their wives, I ain't no professional gynecologist, purely amatuer. As my day time job I'm a qualified accountant working mainly with the big NZ and Aus banks, finance companies, fund managers - yep all the high risk stuff. Also do a bit of work with some of electricity market players and over the last 12months I've picked up a pretty decent sized automotive portfolio. Part owner of a company called agKnowledge providing independent fertiliser advice to farmers. We do not sell fertiliser or get any commission from the fertiliser we recommend. This is science based and generally all the fertiliser we recommend is either from Ballance Agri-nutrients or Ravensdown, occasionally we will use Summit Quinphos products if a farmer requests we use their products.

All you farmers out there if you are not happy with the fertiliser advice you are getting from local fertiliser reps or feel your pastures are not performing give me a call and we will sort it out.

LOL The lemon goes when the stick face gets tagged!!  Without making too much of a song and dance about it amazes me that people will spend weeks over making a capex spending decision (even in a small business) but give 2 fifths of FA thought into hiring and the ongoing management of the people they employ... Get the people stuff right - a lot fo the rest will take care of itself!

Hey HD
Is XRD pressed powders or fusion beads?
I take it that the PSA is laser diffraction and not sieves?
Given the specialty, once response is probably the equivalent of a rush - MuhahahahaLOL

For all you Dilbert fans, I'm the guy with the pointy hair/no idea of the real world... right up there with HR, I'm a manager in a manufacturing industryOuch.

Cheers
T

Nah - You're thinking of XRF Wink  Got one of those too, but can't be buggered setting up the calibration standards for anything other than routine QC.

The PSA is wet analysis by Sedigraph 5100 (150µm to 0.1µm) utilising stokes law methodology as opposed to dry powder (ie Malvern Aerosizer)

Confused Can't believe I'm talking shop outside hoursConfused

...That'll put the rate up LOL

Hmm...I thought I worked for the pointy-haired Boss from Dilbert?

I won't mention the D50 of the PSD on our EP ex #7S is 0.6µ then, unless you are willing to accept our Fe2O3 of 0.28%  (Don't make me bring out the MOR and C of E or L* a b at D65 light angle....unless you prefer it at 457nm) LOL

That's it -  the tequilas are starting to take hold.

Night All.

I own/run a boat charter company.  ~20 power boats from 6m to 15m. Right now a need a good builder for a few weeks work on a house. Preferably one that needs some boating this summer! Also have a bit or reasonably simple cabinet making to do on a 36ft launch that will need to be 'sea-trialled' for a couple of days after the work is completed.

Is anyone here a lawn mowing contractor? I'm interested in getting someone to mow my parents lawns on the north shore of Ak and I want a quote. be warned, my old man is a grumpy **** and he only just lets me mow his lawns. Just my luck as the old ***** is getting over a heart attack and open heart surgery, hence the reason I'm going from west ak to N.S. to mow the lawns.
