Waimak Ashley Coastguard is thinking of holding a Bar Crossing Day before Xmas on the Waimak Bar. Who here would be keen?
What would you want to get out of the day?

We had a chat about this in the weekend and a few of our guys are really keen to make this work.
Will flesh out some dates and times soon but the plan would be something like this:
Launch boats at Ashkeaton
Raft up beside Tuhoe
classroom session/ briefing in the Coastguard Building
go down river
Kaiapoi One to go out with each boat
Kaiapoi One to return with each boat
One coastguard member on each boat with you to talk you thru it
