I got my coast gaurd members handbook 2011 and in it it says that the limit for snapper is now 10 unless in the sna1 area which is northcape to cape runaway.

SO DOES THIS MEAN THAT THE GULF ETC IS NOW A 10 snapper limit?

You can go onto the MoF website and compare your charts to theirs and see if they are similar

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

Do you go fishing every day?

Do you not have a family who likes fish?

Do you not like smoked fish?

Yes but unfortunately the quota system doesnt allow for giving fish away and fish does not keep very long anyway. This is only my opinion on how much fish one person or family needs(through many years of fishing) and I will continue to only bring home enough for a feed as others who wish to bring home there full entitlement are also allowed to do.

i met a gripper (in a tackle shop) who i found out was fishing alongside us on sat for a while, who boasted he caught 30 tarakihi between 2 that day.Dead i asked what he did with all that fish and he said he gave it nearly all away "left right and centre" and it was gone really quick, they would of been of good size too and he said 15 for 1 person was "nothing".Confused  and they caught other fish as well...Confused
